I wish it could be October 10th, every daaaaay...

You know what's soon? Christmas. Christmas is soon. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I don't know. All I know is that Ikea now stock straw goats, possibly trying to appeal to both the Christmas=hideous-tat brigade, and the Christmas-as-extension-of-pagan-festivities brigade. I think I fall more in the former rather than the latter, but even so I'm not a massive fan of hideous tat. Although, the glowing, dangling gnomes are quite ace...

So because there's no better way to prepare for the season by doing it unfeasibly early, let me be the first to wish you a Happy Christmas, with all the related meaningless greetings and accoutrements. Break out the egg nog, settle down in front of some Capra-originated feelgood schlock and waste some money on sending bits of card to people you see every day, in the words of a wise man, It's Chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiistmas!!!!!!

At least in 75 days.

In other news, I left my mobile phone at home today, and it was strangely liberating. I recommend trying it. Also, check out RadioBetty, the Hype Machine RealAudio stream of all tracks I've posted on here in (I think) the last 75 days. Kind of fun. It's on the right hand side under my profile. Celebrate with some bloggers' favourites, and then some, and watch my Hype Machine traffic shoot through the roof.

Sadly no, that's cherry-picking some others. 'Twould be a good idea though.
There's Christmas albums by Sufjan and Bright Eyes available, and also Arcade Fire and Marah, if you look hard enough.

Is there any chance you could please re-up the Pedro the Lion track? It'd be greatly appreciated
